The Powa Buggy is a unique patented solution to on site power management. In the new era that we are entering where on-site power generation is becoming a necessity, the Powa Buggy can blend power from various sources. For example, it can be programmed to take 30% of the load from the grid, another 20% from the Diesel generator and the remaining 50% from PV solar. These levels can be adjusted dynamically to suit your specific requirements as they vary during the day. For example, during peak tariff hours you can turn your grid consumption down and avoid peak charges. The Powa Buggy will also insure that you never exceed your peak demand and face hefty penalties.

Problems with existing solutions
Switch over between grid and back-up:
- Inevitably this creates problems for your equipment on site.
Inverter three phase unbalance:
- Most inverters that are in use today, cannot operate with unbalanced three phase loads, which is what usually happens.
Inverter neutral earth problem:
- Inverters generate neutral to earth voltage, creates problems with earth leakages and protection.
PV reticulation blind spot fault:
- Most PV installations have what is called a “blind spot” fault, which is potentially dangerous and has caused fires.
- The same fault exists in battery installations.
- PV installations must comply with SANS10400, they seldom do.
Battery installations must comply SANS10400 Regulation (NBR)
- SANS10400 is a regulation – it is law and must be complied with.
- It requires that batteries of any type, are housed in a two-hour fire rated enclosure.
- The enclosure must be spill proof as well.
- NBR – compliance is the responsibility of the owner of the building.
- Your insurance requires compliance to NBR/SANS10400.
